Yes that's right, there's no stopping me now, I've just booked train tickets to get me to France, very exciting! It's going to be a mamouth journey, involving 7 trains (6 changes!) including the London Underground and the Parisian Metro, hmmmm set for an interesting journey I think. However the transport is all I've actually finalized.
Have spent hours emailing various FJTs (a bit like university halls, but generally for migrant workers etc), and am currently in the process of filling out my application for one, it's in a good location and seems ok, for the first month at least. It's catered Monday to Friday, so I'll be enjoying traditional French cuisine in the company of plenty of French speakers. The only only downside being that at weekends there is a kitchen is to be shared by all 180 of us...I hope it's big...potentially worse than Goodricke!
Am also waiting for some post from la Maitrise (the headteacher of my college), I emailed her my home address nearly 4 weeks ago and still no word, yikes! Have been religiously checking the post every morning (actually closer to lunchtime) but still nowt. I will just have to be patient, not one of my fortes!
